FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
What time does the tour start?
Pre-booked tours start at either 10am or 2pm.
Depending on the time of the year we do not always have a tour running every day. In addition to running tours we are a working farm and chocolate factory, our tour guides also farm cacao and make chocolate so we appreciate as much advance notice as possible. However, we try to be as flexible as we possibly can, so please feel free to enquire about different start times, we will do our best to accommodate you.
What languages is the tour available in?
We offer the tour in English or Spanish, occasionally we will run the tour in both languages.
Can we arrive without a reservation?
You are welcome to stop by the farm shop Monday - Saturday: 8am to 5pm, however we cannot guarantee a tour without prior notice. We are a small family business which means that our tour guides may be busy working in other parts of the business.

How do I get to La Iguana Chocolate?
Like all the best places in Costa Rica we are located off the beaten path, this means that part of the drive out to us is on dirt roads. Although not necessary for the majority of the year we do recommend a 4x4 car. Allow a little extra time to get here, be prepared for rough roads and stunning scenery. It is worth the trip!
Get away from the crowds for a few hours and experience the real Costa Rica, we are less than 1.5hrs from Manuel Antonio & Jaco on the Central Pacific Coast.
Navigate to us using Google Maps or Waze. Just search for La Iguana Chocolate. Don't trust your rental car GPS or your hotel for accurate directions! **PLEASE AVOID THE ROUTE VIA ALTO LIMON**

Rice, beans, hand made tortillas, green papaya picadillo, pulled jackfruit, yuca patties, fresh salad and fresh fruit juice made from seasonal fruits.

The lunch is 100% vegetarian and gluten free. We can easily accommodate vegans. We will do our best to accommodate other dietary restrictions and allergies where possible.

The tour starts with a brief walk around our cacao orchard and agroforestry system before moving inside. The majority of the time you will be in the shade.
